Notes Obituary:
Erwin H. Clemmer, 83, of Souderton, died Monday night, Apr . 21, 1997 at Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill, where he had been a patient for three weeks.

He was the husband of Anna (Hoffman) Clemmer since 1968. He was preceded in death by his. first wife, Miriam (Souder) Clemmer, in 1963.

Born June 21, 1913 in Hatfield Township, he was a son of the late John L. and Ella Mae (Hunsberger) Clemmer.

Mr. Clemmer was a self-employed painting contractor, retiring in 1976.

He was a longtime member of Souderton Mennonite Church. He formerly attended Norristown Mennonite Mission from 1941 to 1956, where he taught Sunday school.

Mr. Clemmer enjoyed fishing and reading.

Besides his wife, he was survived by four sons, Earl Clemmer and his wife, Jean, and Erwin S. Clemmer and his wife, Marianne, all of Harleysville, Rodney S. Clemmer and his wife, Melinda, of Golden, Colo. and Robert Lee S. Clemmer and his wife, Linda, of Souderton; one stepson, William D. Hoffman and his wife, Sue, of Milford; one stepdaughter, Phyllis Schlosser of Harleysville; five grandchildren;, four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Nelson Clemmer and his wife; Esther, of Royersford, and Horace Clemmer and his wife, Esther; of Schwenksville.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Markley Clemmer.

Services were held in Souderton Mennonite Church.
