Obituary: Pauline G. (Moyer) Derstine, 91, of Souderton, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Marvin G. Derstine. Born in Hilltown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel (Groover) Moyer. She graduated from Hilltown High School and worked as a seamstress for several years at the former Sunlite Shop in Souderton. She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and caregiver for most of her life. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved traveling in their motor home with her husband and son, Roy, throughout the United States. She was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church of Blooming Glen. She is survived by six children: Patricia Ann Halteman, and her husband, Melvin of Newburg, Pa.; Paul M. Derstine, and his wife, Eleanor of Westminster, Md.; Roy M. Derstine of Souderton; Dale M. Derstine, and his wife Betty of Quakertown; Betty L. Kulp, and her husband, John of Telford; Nancy R. Moyer, and her husband, Glenn of Telford; 17 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; two sisters: Blanche Kerr, and her husband, Lloyd of Telford, and Anna Moyer of Souderton; a brother, Laverne Moyer, and his wife, Mildred of Turbotville; and three sisters-in-law: Ella Moyer of Sellersville; Grace Landis, and her husband, Abram of Souderton; and Margaret Derstine of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother, Granville Moyer, and a sister, Grace Delp . Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, where friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will take place at the adjoining church cemetery.
