Obituary: Naomi H. Cassel, 97, died Sept. 30, 2010 in the Souderton Mennonite Homes. She was the wife of almost 70 years to the late Chester R. Cassel, who died in 2002. Former long time residents of Ridge Road in Salford Twp., the couple lived in Hidden Springs for 10 years before moving to the retirement community in Dec. 1998. Born in Hilltown Twp., she was the daughter of the late Abram H. and Ella C. (Smith) Hendricks. A dedicated mother and homemaker, she and her husband also cared for foster children in their home. She was a member of Finland Mennonite Church and taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school for 45 years, as well as Bible school for over 30 years. A Memorial Service was held at Finland Mennonite Church, Pennsburg; interment in Line Lexington Mennonite Cemetery. |
