Verna M. (Delp) Alderfer - 98, of Souderton; formerly of Telford, PA passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Grand View Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Norman M. Alderfer.
Born in Harleysville, PA to the late Warren and Fannie (Moyer) Delp.
Verna was a seamstress for the former Sun-Lite Shop in Souderton, PA. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to Millie.
Verna enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking and growing African violets. She was a lifelong member of Salford Mennonite Church of Harleysville, PA where she was part of the Ladies sewing circle and served as a former Summer Bible School teacher.
She was survived by: Mildred Alderfer (Daughter) of Souderton, PA; Anna Gehman (Sister) & husband, Harley of Souderton, PA; Lorraine Schwoyer (Niece) & husband, Robert of Harleysville, PA; Connie Landis (Niece) & husband, Larry of Franconia, PA.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; Ernest Delp, Linneaus and Roland Kulp; two sisters, Pearl Kulp & Alma Derstine.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville, PA. Burial took place at Salford Mennonite Cemetery.
