Schwenksville, Pa. - Lena T. Adams, 86, formerly of Warren [Ohio], passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at the Greenville Senior Living Center in Schwenksville.
Lena was born April 26, 1929, in Pineville, Ky., and relocated with her family to Warren when she was 12. In 1950, she married Miles G. Adams, also of Warren, at the Methodist Church in Southington.
Lena and Miles were married for more than 60 years and had four children, John, Kathy, Susan and William. Miles passed away in 2011. They had nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a magnificent mother to her children and a devoted, loving wife.
In the mid-fifties, Miles joined the federal service, which kept them moving around the country every few years. It wasn't until he retired in the 70s that they were able to finally settle on the family farm in Southington. There they started an apple orchard, Adams Apples, which kept them busy for almost 20 years. Lena was a voracious reader and loved to travel about in their RV.
A memorial service honoring Lena's life was held Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Southington Methodist Church on the 65th anniversary of her marriage to Miles. Lena had a truly wonderful life and was beloved by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her.
