Obituary: Vernetta Mae Bunton age 92 of Vero Beach [Florida] passed away on February 13, 2013 at her home peacefully with her family around her. Vernetta was born on June 26, 1920 to Dewey and Nellie Shaffer in Wimber, PA. Vernetta was of Lutheran Faith. She loved to travel and enjoying hiking and birding. She recently joined the Fishing Chicks of Sebastian, FL. Vernetta moved to this area 4 years ago coming from Harleysville, PA. Vernetta leaves to cherish her memory her children daughter Vernetta "Nettie" L. Bunton of Vero Beach, FL.; sons Robert Bunton of Lancaster, PA. and James Bunton of Harleysville, PA; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 8 siblings brothers Bob Schaffer of Carlisle, PA., Charles Schaffer of Newville, PA., Dewey Schaffer of Newville, PA., Melvin Schaffer of Newville, PA., Ervin Schaffer of Carlisle, PA., sisters Mary Lou Bowman of Harleysville, PA., Dolores Statler of Commerce, GA., Phoebe Bear of Carlisle, PA. She is predeceased by her husband of 60+ years Charles Bunton in 1995, and son Chick Bunton in 1994. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory 1950 20th Street Vero Beach, FL. There are no services planned at this time. |
