Obituary: Jacob M. Clemmer, 87, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Souderton and Sarasota, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 20, in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Life Care Center, Tucson, Ariz. He was the husband of the late Martha B. (Lewis) Clemmer. He was a mechanic for the former Stiens International Tractor Inc. of West Norriton, where he later entered its retail sales department. He worked in sales for various companies in the North Penn area, including the former Johnson & Biehn Oil of Norristown and the former I.G. Rosenberger of Silverdale. While living in Florida, he worked for more than 10 years for the Public Supermarkets of Sarasota. Previously, he worked on the family farm. Born in Harleysville, he was a son of the late Allen L. and Alice (Moyer) Clemmer. He was a member of Franconia Mennonite Church, Franconia. Survivors: Son, Jacob L. Jr. of Harleysville; daughters, Mildred L. Bauman of Telford, Lorraine L. Zook of Souderton, and Betty A. Moyer, with whom he resided; brothers, William of Chalfont, Cyrus of Souderton, Marvin of Harleysville; sisters, Mary Ellen Derstine of Franconia, Elizabeth Kupeerus of New Paris, Ind., Alice Rittenhouse of Harleysville; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
