Notes Obituary:
Garret C. Benner, 87, of Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township, formerly of Haycock Township, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 in the Health Care Center of Peter Becker Community, Harleysville, where he was a patient for three days.

He was the husband of the late Laura E. (Yothers) Benner, who died in 1997. They were married 60 years.

Born in Skippack, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ellen (Cramer) Benner.

Mr. Benner was a self-employed merchant of poultry and lunchmeats, later working for the former C.D. Moyer Co. of Blooming Glen, until its closing. His last employment was with Bergey's Inc. of Sellersville.

He was a member and one of the founders of the Steel City Mennonite Church, Bethlehem.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 10 at Rockhill Mennonite Community, Sellersville. Interment was in Haycock Mennonite Church Cemetery.
