Obituaries: Clemens, H. Floyd A., son of Gared A. and Lizzie (Alderfer) Clemens, was born in Franconia Twp., Pa., Aug. 1, 1910; died of acute myocardial infarction at Lansdale, Pa., Aug. 3, 1990; aged 80. On Dec. 3, 1927, he was married to Ella Mae Halteman, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Mary H. Martin, Arlene Skillman, and Ada C. Allen), 3 sons (Walter H., Floyd H., and Paul H.), 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one brother (Marcus A.) and 2 sisters (Ada Hackman and Ruth Musselman). He was preceded in death by one daughter (Martha). He was a member of Salford Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Aug. 6, in charge of Willis A. Miller and John L. Ruth; interment in Franconia Mennonite Cemetery. __________________________________ Ruth (Clemens) Musselman‚ 92‚ of the Dock Woods Community‚ formerly of Harleysville‚ went home to be with her Lord‚ Wednesday‚ Oct. 26‚ 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband‚ Roy B. Musselman‚ in 1977. Born in Franconia Twp.‚ she was a daughter of the late Garret and Lizzie (Alderfer) Clemens. She was devoted to her family and her church and showed compassion to everyone she met. Ruth enjoyed music‚ singing‚ playing games‚ quilting and flowers. As a member of Perkiomenville Mennonite Church‚ she participated in the Ladies Sewing Circle and Bible studies‚ and enjoyed her role as a regular greeter. She was survived by three daughters and a son‚ Joan Martin and her husband‚ Bernard‚ of Harrisonburg‚ VA‚ Nancy Clemens and her husband‚ Philip‚ of Pandora‚ OH‚ Roy D. Musselman and his wife‚ Annie‚ of Harleysville‚ and Lois Nissley and her husband‚ John‚ of Findlay‚ OH; a sister‚ Ada Hackman of Edmonton‚ AB‚ Canada; a brother‚ Marcus Clemens and his wife‚ Phyllis‚ of Lansdale; a sister-in-law‚ Ella Mae Clemens of Lansdale; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband‚ she was preceded in death by a stillborn infant son; and a brother‚ Robert Musselman. Memorial services was held Saturday‚ Oct. 29, 2005 at Dock Woods Community Chapel‚ Towamencin. Burial was at Perkiomenville Mennonite Cemetery. |
