Scope & Content Menno B. Souder (1892-1969) was a minister in the Franconia Mennonite congregation, Telford, PA, ordained by lot in 1914. He served as treasurer and assistant secretary of Franconia Mennonite Conference for many years. As a young man he was a school teacher, but after ordination became a farmer. He was married to Esther M. Clemmer, and they had two daughters, Naomi (wife of Floyd Hackman, also a minister in the Franconia congregation) and Emma, who never married.

The Menno B. Souder Papers include correspondence, financial records and other family papers, a few photographs, Franconia "church notes" 1941-1948, licenses for marriages performed, and questionnaire forms for Franconia Conference congregational statistics 1955 and 1957.
