Obituary: Norman W. Vincent, 95, of Lansdale, went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, April 7, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Landes) Vincent and the late Arlene (Edelman) Vincent, who died in 1966. Born November 23, 1924 in Hatfield, he was a son of the late John and Jennie (Hanna) Vincent. Norm was employed as a facility manager with Clemens Markets for many years. He was a longtime, dedicated member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a veteran of the US Navy having served his country honorably during World War II. In the 1950s, Norm co-founded the Hatfield Little League where he was involved for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Vincent (Gloria) of Harleysville, Susan Vincent (Bill) of Ardmore, Brenda Delp (Lowell) of Hatfield, Beverly Williams (Dale) of Lansdale, Brian Alderfer (Patti) of Harleysville, David Vincent of Harleysville, and Beth Alderfer of Philadelphia; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Vincent (Sue) of Lansdale; and sister, Doris Hilgner of Lansdale. Funeral services and interment will be held privately in Blooming Glen Mennonite Church Cemetery. Details for a public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. For those desiring, contributions may be made in Norm's memory to the Mennonite Central Committee. |
