Obituary: Arlene (Allebach) Delp, 93, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Hatfield, PA entered into rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. She was the loving wife of the late Samuel M. Delp for 63 years. Arlene was born in Silverdale, PA to the late Irvin and Edna (Myers) Allebach. She attended Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA. She was a VBS teacher and former member of Line Lexington Mennonite Church. Arlene was instrumental in founding the Hilltop Nursery School at the Line Lexington Mennonite Church where she taught for many years. Arlene is a member of Franconia Mennonite Church. She enjoyed landscaping with flowers, walking and cooking. Arlene is survived by two sons, Donald A Delp & wife, Donna of York, PA, Dennis A. Delp of Telford, PA; a daughter, Susan A. Derstine & husband, Gerald L. of Souderton, PA; nine grandchildren – Shawn, Jeffrey, Tracy, Erin, Trinda, Rachel, Angela, Joshua & Jonathan; fifteen great-grandchildren – Wyatt, Leah, Samuel, Simeon, Maya, Marin, Isabella, Harrison, Jeremiah, Nicholas, Noah, Lydia, Savannah, Christopher & Josiah; two brothers, Clyde Allebach & wife, Verna of Menahga, MN, Harold Allebach of Souderton, PA; a step-brother, Ralph Allebach & wife, Karen of Sellersville, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Allebach. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 where friends may view and meet with the family from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Line Lexington Mennonite Cemetery. |
