Obituary: Vera L. Hartzell, 93, of Pennsburg Manor, formerly of Red Hill and East Greenville, died Monday, Dec. 6, in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Hartzell. She was a quiller at the former Rayflex Manufacturing Co., Red Hill, for 23 years before retiring in 1971. Born in Hoppenville, Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Cora (Brey) Schwenk. She was a member and former secretary of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill. Also, she was the piano player for the primary Sunday school for 75 years until 1996. She was an auxiliary member of the East Greenville and Red Hill fire companies, and a member of R.S.V.P., Golden Agers of Pennsburg, Schwenksville and Quakertown, and the Upper Perkiomen Valley Senior Citizens Center. She was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop, Red Hill. Survivors: Daughter, Grace L., wife of John S. Rohr of Souderton, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Reta E., wife of Paul J. Buck of Souderton. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. Call 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
