Obituary: Pearl S. Moyer, 82, of W. Summit Ave., Souderton, Pa., formerly of Quakertown, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, Pa. She was the wife of the late Pastor Lester K. Moyer. She was a busy homemaker and supportive Pastor's wife. After her children were grown, she worked a number of years at the Friendly Bookstore, Quakertown, Pa. Born in Franconia, Twp., Montgomery Co., Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edwin R. and Marion (Ruth) Styer. She was a member of Salem Mennonite Church, Quakertown, Pa., where her late husband served as Pastor for many years. She was a volunteer at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital and when it was the former Quakertown Community Hospital for many years. Surviving are two sons, L. Dale of Wyoming, Donald of Coopersburg, Pa.; three daughters, Rachel, wife of Richard Yoder of Coopersburg, Pa., Sharon, wife of Gerald Strite of Harrisonburg, Va., and Mary Jane, wife of Vernon Michael of Port Republic, Va.; a brother, Kermit Styer of Hatfield, Pa.; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, at Salem Mennonite Church, 41 E. Cherry Rd., Quakertown, Pa. Interment will follow in Towmencin Mennonite Cemetery, Kulpsville, Pa. Family and friends are invited to call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Souderton Mennonite Home, 207 W. Summit Ave., Souderton, Pa., and 10-11 a.m. June 3 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Renovation Fund at Salem Mennonite Church, 41 E. Cherry Rd., Quakertown, Pa., 18951. |
