Derstine Homestead and Mill, Rockhill, ca. 1896. The original "Mansion" Dwelling House erected by pioneer Michel Derstine in 1748. This was taken just before the 1748 house of Michael and Agnes Derstine was torn down and replaced with a brick house in 1897. The man in the foreground may be William H, Derstine (1845 - 1898) who owned the homestead at that time. Notice the hayhouse, built on the North Penn Railroad, the wooden bridge over the reailroad, and the old sawmill in front of the gristmill.
