Collection of photographs, assembled by staff, of the former Herald Bookstore-Provident Bookstore, in Souderton, mid 1950s-1990s. The oldest photos date back to the original Herald Bookstore, located on North Main St. Souderton, and the move in 1957 to its' new location at the new Souderton Shopping Center at Bethlehem Pike and Rt. 113, Souderton. Included in the photos are former bookstore managers J. Silas Graybill, Claude M. Shisler, Mark Moyer, Ted Hughes, Ken Reinford and Doug Landis. |
Provenance |
These photos and albums were taken, assembled and saved at the bookstore over the years by various staff persons. When the store closed in February 2016 (under the name Lifeway Stores), they were saved by long-term employee Edie Randolph (the donor), who worked there from 1973 to 2016. |
