Description A ladies plain dress made out of black silk. There is a high rounded neck with a hook and eye center closure. There are additional hook and eyes at the waist on the proper left side. There is smocking on the shoulder, but the sleeves are long and straight and set into the arm syce. There is some gathering at the attachment of the skirt to the waistband. The bodice is lined in a brown silk. The dress i machine constructed with hand finishing details.
Provenance Worn by Rosalinda B. (Keyser) Long (1865-1943), wife of Franklin S. Long (1860-1944). They resided in Montgomery County and were members of the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren.
