Description A ladies handstitched bib apron made out of blue and wide woven gingham cotton. The apron has a scooped neck and two straps that would have been pined to the wearer's dress. The bib is attached to a self-fabric waistband with two ties attached. There is an attached self-fabric pocket on the proper right side.
Provenance Worn by Emma S. (Shelly) Ackerman (1859-1935), wife of Jacob H. Ackerman (1853-1933). They were members of the West Swamp Mennonite Church and lived at Steinsburg, Milford Township, Bucks County.
