Description A handspun towel made out of bleached plain weave linen. At each of the top corners there is a 1.00" long white cotton twill loop. Near the top edge is a (faded) red cotton embroidery of the initials "K.M." in (probably stencilled) outline script lettering, separated by a large pansy motif. The right and left edges have a 1/8" wide foldover hem while the top and bottom edge have been left unfinished.
Provenance Made by Catherine "Kate" D. (Moyer) Keeler (1865-1940), wife of Jesse H. Keeler (1856-1917). They were members of the Towamencin Mennonite Church. This towel was eventually passed down to her granddaughter, the donor.
