Description A ladies apron comprised of marled charcoal grey rayon. The apron has an attached self-fabric waistband with a snap closure and additional snaps on the exterior side of the waistband. This apron was probably worn with a matching plain dress and cape, and the cape would have snapped onto the apron. There is also cartridge pleating at the attachment seam. The apron is probably homemade.
Provenance Worn by Stella A. (Derstine) Moyer (1885-1955), wife of Preacher Wilson R. Moyer (1872-1959). They lived in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, and Wilson served as minister at the Bloomimg Glen Mennonite Church.
