Description Quilt comprised of nineteen horizontal rows of triangles patches. The triangles are either made of a red cotton with a black botanical print, a dark green cotton with a yellow, white, light green and brown bud print or a white cotton with a brown leaf and black tulip print. There is a 3/8" wide applied binding made of the same printed dark green cotton. The quilt is handstitched with brown thread and a SPI of 6. The back is comprised of a dark brown cotton with a red leaf and white chain swirled circle print. At the bottom proper corner there is an adhesive tag with the name "David Scott" handwritten on it.
Provenance Made by Sarah "Sallie" B. (Kulp) Thut (1879-1962), wife of Timothy S. Thut (1876-1959). They were members of the Doylestown Mennonite Church. The quilt was passed down to their daughter, Barbara K. (Thut) Detwiler (1908-1983).
