Description A doll's handstitched bed made out of a cream cotton and filled with possible wheat/seeds/straw.
Provenance Made by Sarah M. (Harley) Alderfer (1836-1927), wife of Benjamin Z. Alderfer (1831-1899). They resided in Montgomery County. The bed was made for her granddaughter, Emma Luella A. (Ziegler) Carl (1902-1984). Emma was the daughter of John H. (1857-1928) and Lydia H. (Alderfer) Ziegler (1861-1942) of Montgomery County. As an adult, Emma would go on to marry, Elmer K. Carl (1892-?).
