Description |
Dutch Rose Quilt comprised of fifteen complete blocks. Each block averages 12.00" x 12.00" and consists of an eight-point star and wreath; made out of plain red and plain green (faded) diamond patches contrasted with a background of a white cotton with a black and red picotage print and corner half blocks of a yellow cotton with a red and black floral print. Surrounding the complete blocks are eleven half blocks and two quarter blocks of the same pattern. Separating each block is a 3.00" wide sashing made of a red cotton with Garibaldi black floral print and cornerstones made out of a white cotton ground with a black shirting print. The surrounding border is 1.875" wide and made of the same white cotton with a 1/4" wide applied binding made out of black cotton with a green and yellow floral print. The entire quilt has been handstitched in green thread with a SPI of 6-8. The back is comprised of a white cotton with an orange and blue floral print. |
