|Description||A handstitched grain bag made out of handspun bleached linen tow. The bag is devoid of names or decoration but there is evidence of what appears to be hand knotted linen fringe along the top opening.|
There is no information about the owner, maker or origin of this piece, except that it comes out of the family of Emma Bechtel of Bally, Berks County. This was probably Emma (1890-1980), unmarried daughter of Clement & Sarah Landis Bechtel.
