Description A child's's handstitched apron made out of white cotton with a vertical weave and brown striped print. There are two attached self-fabric flap pockets. Attached to the sides of the apron are two self-fabric ties.
Provenance Worn by Harold A. (1926- ) and Sanford A. (1923- ) Alderfer, as young boys. They were the sons of Reinhart "Rein" A. (1877-1964) and Susan A. (Alderfer) Alderfer (1884-1981), of Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County. As adults, Sanford would go on to marry Evelyn B. (Landis) Alderfer (1925-2006), and Harold would marry, Ferne (Hagey) Alderfer (1928- ).
