Description |
A ladies handstitched night dress made out of bleached plain weave linen. The nightgown has a softly squared scooped neckline with an attached trim of cotton lace along the edge. There is a short yoke with a single button closure. There is high attachment seam, not exactly empire, with cartridge pleating at the seam. The sleeves are attached straight onto the yoke with gathering at the shoulders. A gusset panel is also used to join the sleeve to the rest of the gown. The sleeves are short and cut squared with no adornment. the rest of the gown is plain and cut in a wide, voluminous, A-line shape. |
