Provenance |
Manuscript tunebook (undated) made for Elizabeth Keller (1808-1888) of Haycock Township, Bucks County in about 1825, as a school student. She was the daughter of John Keller (1781-1842) and wife Mary of Haycock, and members of the Keller's Lutheran congregation. In 1840, Elizabeth married Schoolmaster John W. Landis (1797-1848) then of Haycock Township. Before long, they moved to Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County and had two daughters - Mary Ann and Elizabeth. Widow Elizabeth married second, in about 1854, Henry Detweiler (1798-1868) of Lower Salford Township. The tunebook was passed down to her daughter Elizabeth Landis (1847-1939) who married Elias R. Landis (1852-1925) of Lower Salford; to their son Abraham L. Landis (1874-1946) who married Emma Nice; to their daughter Lizzie Etta N. Landis (1904-1997). |
