Description |
A man's frock coat made out of a black wool serge. There is a notched lapel collar and a high two button closure (missing both) just above the waist seam. There is an additional button located under the proper right lapel and two decorative buttonholes on the proper left lapel. There are also two buttons at each sleeve cuff, (although one is missing from the left side. There is a slit pocket on the outer left chest. Starting from the waist down, the coat is left open with slight rounded flaps. At the back there is a box pleat with two buttons flanking the single vent. There is a hidden pocket in the fold of the box pleat of the right flap. The coat is lined in black silk and the sleeves are lined in a cream cotton sateen with purple zig zag print. There is an inside pocket on the proper left side. The coat is machine constructed with hand finishing details. |
