Provenance |
Made for Catharine L. Wismer (Gross) (1821-1882) of Bedminster Township, Bucks County, daughter of deacon Abraham & Elizabeth Leatherman Wismer of the Deep Run Mennonite Congregation. In adulthood, Catharine married John W. Gross (1814-1903), who later became a preacher in that congregation. The booklet was passed down in the family to a descendant, the late Melvin H. Gahman (1903-2000), father of the donor. |
