Description |
A ladies machine made underskirt comprised of plain white cotton and eyelet panels. There is an attached self-fabric waistband with a single button closure at the back. There is gathering in the front, but cartridge pleating at the back of the attachment. The yoke section is gored but lies flat, until above knee length where there is a single wide pintuck and three narrow pintucks. Attached to this panel is a 3.250" wide sheer eyelet panel of repeated circular designs, and attached to that panel is a plain white cotton flounce with an attached overlay of broderie with a floral design and scalloped buttonhole stitched edges. The underlayer acts has a backing to the see through broderie but also gives an asymmetrical edge to the hem. |
