Description |
A ladies dress and belt made out of black silk taffeta. Both pieces are machine constructed with hand finishing details. a) The belt is rouched and closes in the back with four hooks and eyes. The belt is lined in black cotton. b.) The dress has a high rounded neckline. Just below the neck is a centered satin stitched floral design. At each front and back shoulder there is a pintuck that extends to the waist, which gives the illusion of an apron appearance. On the proper left front side, the tuck hides a snap closure starting from the shoulder and extending to the hip. The sleeves are set into the arm syce and are three quarter length with knife pleated self-fabric trim at the cuff. The skirt is gored, with an A-line shape but lays flat. The bodice is lined in a thin tan cotton. |
