Description |
A ladies camisole, or corset cover, made out of white cotton and ornate eyelet panels. The camisole is sleeveless and made of the eyelet with a scalloped edges. There is a five button front closure. Attached at the natural waistline is a plain white cotton flounce with soft curved edges. The camisole is machine constructed with hand finishing details. |

Owned by either Annie B. Bechtel (1887-1976) or her sister, Katie B. Bechtel (1891-1980), daughters of John E. Bechtel (1852-1908) and Elizabeth B. (Bower) Bechtel (1854-1927) of near Boyertown, Berks County. Both women never married but were members of the Boyertown Mennonite Church. |
