Provenance |
Tuning fork with paperboard case, late 19th century, owned and used by Joseph H. Haldeman (1834-1911), a songleader in the Coventry Mennonite congregation and resident of East Coventry Township, Chester County. By the time of Haldeman's death (1911), the Coventry congregation had closed, and the few remaining members transfered to the Vincent Congregation. The donor (Amos A. Bean) was married to a great-granddaughter of Haldeman's, Ruth M. Becker Bean. |
