Description |
A child's dress made out of a sheer white Swiss dot cotton. The dress has a high rounded neckline with a bobbin lace ruffle trim attached to the inside of the neck. There is also a self-fabric yoke and a pointed self-fabric bib is attached, extending from shoulder to shoulder with a center opening. The bib is attached with a decorative embroidered trim. The bib is lined underneath which creates a more opaque look. The edge of the bib is trimmed with the same bobbin lace. The long sleeves are set into the arm syce and have wide cuff. The dress has a high empire waistline and there is cartridge pleating where the skirt is attached. The lower half of the dress wide and flared. The dress has no closure, but is it likely that there was once a hook and eye closure. The dress is machine constructed with hand finishing details. |
